A Virtual Solo Exhibition by ELENA NIKOLAEVA

We are pleased to continue showcasing the talented Russian-speaking artists and creative who contribute to New Zealand’s vibrant multicultural community through our series of virtual exhibitions.

Their work can be viewed on our Facebook page, Nasha Gavan – Competitions, Exhibitions, Festivals (facebook.com/groups/617809839452303).

Last July, visitors had the opportunity to enjoy the remarkable works of artist Elena Nikolaeva, who lives in a small town near Auckland.

Inspired by New Zealand’s breathtaking landscapes and natural environment, Elena embarked on a new chapter of her artistic journey after moving here. Her work draws extensively on locally sourced natural materials and includes driftwood sculptures created from pieces collected on local beaches, mixed-media paintings incorporating unconventional materials, experimental artistic techniques, and distinctive garden sculptures.

As always, our editorial team has selected several examples of Elena’s work, photographs of which are featured below.

We look forward to continuing our virtual exhibition programme and introducing more talented artists in future editions of Nasha Gavan and on our Facebook page. If you know of a gifted Russian-speaking artist, musician, writer, or creative individual within our community, we would love to hear from you. Please send us your suggestions, and we will be delighted to get in touch with them.
